The El Paso Symphony Youth Orchestras (EPSYOs), a division of the El Paso Symphony, will present a concert on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 7:30PM at the Abraham Chavez Theatre.
The concert, entitled "Dance! Dance! Dance!" will feature all four EPSYOs large ensembles in pieces including Dvorak's "Slavonic Dance No. 8," the El Paso premiere of EPSYOs member Amalia Zeitlin's "A Walk Through the Meadows," and Smetana's "Three Dances from the Bartered Bride." The concert will also feature violinist and UTEP Visiting Professor, Mark Schuppener, performing John Williams' "Three Pieces from Schindler's List." Schuppener joined the music faculty at UTEP in the fall of 2009 and holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor in Music from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
