EPSYOs YOUNG ARTIST PIANO COMPETITION 2013
COMPETITION DATES AND LOCATION
The 1st annual EPSYOs Young Artist Competition will be held on May 18-19, 2013 at the Radford School (2001 Radford Street).
COMPETITION ELIGIBILITY AND DIVISIONS
Young pianists between the ages of 7 and 18 (as of May 18, 2013) residing within 100 miles of the El Paso city limits are eligible to compete. Pianists enrolled in college are not eligible.
Junior Division – ages 7 to 10
Intermediate Division – ages 7 to 14
Advanced Division – ages 7 to 18
COMPETITION JURY
The Young Artist Piano Competition jury will be comprised of three (3) individuals. Jurors of the competition will not be able to enter students into the competition. All students will receive written comments from the jurors. All award decisions made by the jurors are final and may not be challenged.
COMPETITION STRUCTURE
The competition will consist of two (2) rounds, a preliminary round (May 18) and a final round (May 19). Competitors must be available on both days. The number of pianists that advance to the final round will be determined by the competition jury. The preliminary round will be closed to the public. The final round will be open to the public. Awards will be announced shortly after the final competitor has performed.
