Welcome to El Paso Symphony Youth Orchestras!

In its fifth full season, the El Paso Symphony Youth Orchestras (EPSYOs) provides the highest level of musical experience and education to talented young musicians in the Greater El Paso, Juarez, and Southwest New Mexico areas.

As a division of the El Paso Symphony Orchestra Association, the EPSYOs is committed to creating and maintaining a professional and supportive environment in which young musicians will achieve the highest level of artistic advancement and personal growth performing four concerts each year of the finest classical music repertoire.

SEATING AUDITION TIMES AND MUSIC

If you are already enrolled and registered for the 2010 - 2011 Season, you will be required to play a Seating Audition for your orchestra. You will be assigned an individual time on Saturday, September 11, and those times as well as the music you need to prepare will be posted here on our website. All auditions will be at the El Paso Conservatory of Music.  

Seating Auditions are mandatory for all students enrolled in the EPSYOs. If you have difficulty printing the excerpts or finding your time, please call the office at (915) 525 - 8978. If you are registered and you do not see your name on the list, please also contact the office.

If you are auditioning in August, it is possible that 1) your name is on a different orchestra roster or 2) your name does not appear at all. Following audition results, the schedule will be updated to include any new members or any changes to the rosters. 

Please click HERE to find your seating audition time and music required. You will need to refer to your registration packed if you are unsure which orchestra you belong to.

Dear EPSYOs Friends and Family,

With a very heavy heart I am writing to let you know that I will be leaving the EPSYOs as General Manager in September. My fiancé and I were offered a wonderful opportunity in Chicago and will be moving there in the coming months.

You can imagine how difficult a decision it was for me to leave the EPSYOs, having been involved with the organization since its birth just five years ago. I will be taking many fond memories and experiences with me as I head north, and will surely miss El Paso and the EPSYOs and EPSO family.

The EPSYOs is in a great place right now, and I know whomever comes in will continue to build on the solid foundation we have already built. I will be active and present through Orientation on September 12, and throughout the month of September as we transition in a new General Manager. If you know of anyone qualified and interested, the position is currently open and we will be accepting applications until the position is filled:  http://www.epsyos.org/job-openings

Final Auditions for 2010 - 2011

Final auditions for the 2010 - 2011 season will be held on Saturday, August 14 and Saturday, August 28. Auditions are scheduled by appointment only. To schedule an audition, please fill out an online application. Also be sure to check out the audition requirements. If you have any questions, please call (915) 525 - 8978.
