The El Paso Youth Symphony (EPYS) is a full orchestra for intermediate string, wind, brass, and percussion players (typically upper middle school and high school students). Rehearsals are held on Sundays from 1:00 - 3:30PM. Tuition is $375.
Audition Requirements
Your audition will take about five to eight minutes, and will have three major components:
- Two (2) three-octave scales for string players. Two (2) two-octave scales for wind and brass players.
- Prepared selection from a solo piece or etude (All Region/All State excerpts are acceptable)
- Short sight-reading excerpt (music will be provided in your audition)
